Meet David Futch

David Carson Futch is an experienced defense attorney with strong ties to South Mississippi. Raised in the region, David graduated from Pascagoula High School in 1979, then earned a certification in welding from MS Gulf Coast that same year. In 1984, David completed the Engineering Drafting Apprenticeship Program at Ingalls Shipbuilding, leading to a successful 15-year career in the engineering field. David then transitioned to law, earning a degree from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1995 and graduating from the University of Mississippi School of Law in December 1998, with the class of 1999. After passing the bar in April 1999, David served as a law clerk in the 19th Judicial District under Judge Jackson, building a strong foundation for his legal career. David brings a unique perspective to the courtroom, with a deep understanding of both engineering and law, particularly in cases involving faulty equipment and defective design. David received a Jurist Doctorate from the University of Mississippi and passed the Bar Exam on his first attempt. He has been in private practice since, for 26 years and counting!
